Developed through a collaborative effort, this pathway provides a clear and structured framework to support the identification and progression of Para cyclists across Aotearoa.
It has been designed with a strong focus on athlete development, while also fostering a high-performance mindset from the outset.
Our goal is to ensure that individuals with potential, drive, and determination are given every opportunity to develop within an environment that is both supportive and performance-focused.
The pathway outlines key stages of progression for emerging and developing athletes, with a view to preparing them for national competition and, ultimately, international podium success.
Whether athletes are new to the sport or already progressing through the system, we hope this resource offers the guidance and structure needed.
